Application for different types of wounds
Skin-deep wounds (up to approx. 0.5 cm deep)
â–º Complete coverage of the wound with LIGASANO® white, from skin level at least 2 cm thick
â–º Wound margins overlapping at least 2 cm
â–º Make sure that complete contact with the wound is also ensured at somewhat deeper parts of the wound
â–º If necessary extensive coverage of the wound environment with LIGASANO® white for local blood circulation promotion
â–º Air-permeable fixation
Deep Wounds
â–º Completely fill the wound with LIGASANO® white – additionally cut LIGASANO® white slightly larger than the wound diameter and slightly thicker than the wound depth
â–º Insert LIGASANO® white into the wound with slight compression, there must be a full-surface wound contact, even at the wound margins
â–º Extensive coverage of the wound and wound environment with LIGASANO® white
â–º Air-permeable fixation
Deep wounds with undermining
â–º Completely fill in the undermining and the actual wound with LIGASANO® white – additionally cut LIGASANO® white slightly larger than the wound diameter and slightly thicker than the wound depth ("Wound Filler")
â–º Insert LIGASANO® white into the wound with slight compression; there must be complete wound contact, including the margins of the wound and undermining
â–º Extensive coverage of the wound and wound environment with LIGASANO® white
â–º Air-permeable fixation
Wounds with narrow entrance / fistulas
â–º Complete filling of the wound with the Cavitiy dressings LIGASANO® white wound strip, wound strip mini, micro wound strip or sticks (depending on the volume of the wound). To do so, first investigate the direction and depth of the wound so that you can reliably reach the wound bed
â–º Extensive coverage of the wound and wound environment with LIGASANO® white
â–º The wound strip lays fan-folded in the wound. When removing results in little friction. The change of dressing is fast, easy and comparatively painless. Premature surface closure of the wound is counteracted
